MOSAÏCANADA 150/Gatineau 2017 - Work in Progress

I went over to Gatineau's Parc Jacques-Cartier on Sunday, June 18, 20187, to photograph some of the giant plant covered sculptures that will make up the summer festival in the park. As far as I can tell it will go by the name, MOSAÏCANADA 150/Gatineau 2017. Click here to visit their web site for more information. The festival will run from June 30 to October 15, 2017.

At this time construction fences restrict access to the sculptures. I did my best to photograph them by finding higher ground where possible and by holding the camera over the fence pointed at the subject and hoping for the best. I saw many other people there involved in the same activity.

Kinsmen Amphitheatre, Prescott, Ontario

In Prescott, Ontario on the south side of Water Street, Just west of Edward Street South, one will find The Kinsmen Amphetheatre. The St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival performs in this wonderful outdoor theatre during July and August.

A box office and backstage facilities occupy a place behind the stage on the waterfront. Though tickets can be purchased at the site at the time of performance, purchasing them in advance on line provides the best option.

When you go to the show here, bring lawn chairs.

Holocaust Monument Under Construction May 21, 2017

Progress continues with the Canadian Holocaust Monument. With the cloth that hid the site from view removed, photographing the work in progress becomes easier.
