Big Honkin' Mushroom

 When I went out to check the mail today I noticed (hard not to notice) a very large mushroom growing next to the hedge. I grabbed my camera and took these pictures. A fly obligingly landed on it to give it a real sense of scale.

 

 

As I passed by the mushroom a few days later I noticed a change in it. It became a little darker with lighter cracks appearing on its surface.

Snowbirds Fly Over

 On May 7, 2020, the RCAF Snowbirds flew over and I was lucky enough to be waiting for them with my camera and to get these photographs. They hardly made any sound on the approach and I missed my first photograph due to not having the camera switched on. Nevertheless I think I got some good shots, poor light and low level visibility notwithstanding.
